On Thursday, January 9, 2020, Delia Jimenez, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many, passed away suddenly at the age of 30 years. Delia was born in Las Cruces on September 27th, 1989 to Ignacio and Lucila Jimenez. Delia was a full-time student; she was attending Vista College to get her associates in business management. her Hobbies included listening to inspirational and country music and reading the bible. She had a passion for helping others even through her struggles and was very resourceful. A goal of hers was to one day learn how to play the saxophone. She enjoyed baking and had a sweet tooth for chocolate. She had a wonderful, corky sense of humor that only those really close to her understood but, most important of all she was very proud of her daughters many accomplishments. She is survived by her husband, John Fontes, daughter Alizah Jasmine Saiz, her mother Lucila Jimenez, her siblings Tonya Herrera, Jacob Jimenez, Olivia Jimenez, Carlos Jimenez, Sonia Jimenez, Daniel Jimenez, her nephews Adam Jimenez and Jobe Herrera and nieces Jada Martinez and Evelyna Herrera. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Guadalupe Hernandez and her Father Ignacio Jimenez. Services for our beloved Delia will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Viewing will be from 12:30-1:30pm, with rosary and mass to follow from 2:00pm - 3:00 pm.
