Dennis G. Henry entered eternal life Aug. 22, 2005. He was born Feb. 13, 1935 in Plainview, TX to Grafton and Rose Henry. Mr. Henry started college at New Mexico A&M and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (1958) and Master of in Science Electrical Engineering (1960) from New Mexico State University where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Dennis retired from the Physical Science Laboratory at NMSU as a Section Chief after 34 years of service. His work with Army Missile Telemetry took him to many areas of the United States, Europe, and the Mediterranean. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and supporter of NMSU athletics. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edie Hanna Henry, three daughters, Libby Henry and husband Joe DeBonis of Albuquerque, NM, Margaret Wilshek and husband John of Arvada, CO, and Patty King of Tempe, AZ, sisters Ann Helm and husband Mike of Carmichael, CA, Becky Walling and husband Craig of Farmington, NM. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren, Joseph and Patrick Debonis, Kristen and Jack Wilshek, and Ryan and Jason King who lovingly called him PopPop. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with Rev. Scott Ruthven officiating and Rev. Jeanne Lutz preaching. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado to encourage and support children with epilepsy like his grandson.
