Dennis Lee Payne entered into eternal life on Monday, February 18, 2008. He was born on February 12th 1944. Dennis moved to the Mesilla Valley in 1978, with his family and worked for the US Border Patrol until he retired from the Force in January 2000. He diligently served many years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His Farming upbringing in South Western NM was ingrained in his soul his entire life. He Loved working on Vintage Tractors, recently restoring a 1938 John Deere Model B which he drove as a young boy on the Family Farm. He took pleasure in giving his time and talents to family and friends. Many Lives have been touched in small and simple ways by the generosity of He and his wife Lauana. He will be sorely missed by all. He is survived by his Wife Lauana, Parents, two sisters and three Brothers as well as four Sons and 13 grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM Thursday February 21, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Venus Chapel (3210 Venus St.). The funeral service will follow the same day at 10 AM also at the Church. The burial will follow the funeral service and be held at Masonic Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
