Deonn was a long-time advocate, confronting violence against women and children in Las Cruces and the surrounding areas. She is survived by family, many friends, and will be dearly missed by the whole community. Memorial service will be held at Getz Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2005. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to cover funeral costs and to continue to support women and children in this community.
