Dianne G. Anderson, age 82, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Gran, as she was affectionately known to her friends and family, was born on May 7, 1941, to Pete and Llew Ellen Lawrence. Having an outgoing personality, she loved to laugh, help others, and successfully completed whatever she set out to accomplish. She sold real estate, owned and ran her own business with her father, and later drove a school bus in Cliff, Carlsbad, and Hatch, NM. She was just the 2nd women in the state of New Mexico to earn her contractor's license and was the president of the Hatch, NM school board. She was always willing to jump into a ‘spicy' canasta card game and enjoyed fishing. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and will be greatly missed. Dianne is preceded in death by her parents; Pete Lawrence and Llew Ellen Parks and her stepfather, Charlie Parks. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years; Charles (Butch) Anderson of Las Cruces, NM; her sibling, Joan Cope (Charlie) of Aiken, SC; her children; George Wylie (Patty) of Colleyville, TX, Tracey Wylie of Fort Worth, TX; her grandchildren; Evelyn Anderson-Martin (Benjamin) of Las Cruces, NM, Preston Wylie (Dana) of Little Elm, TX, Kristin Ainsworth (Lee) of Fort Worth, TX; her great-granddaughters; McKenna, Charlotte and Madeline; and her step great-granddaughters; Samantha and Alaura. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory. To honor ‘Gran's' wishes, there will be no funeral service. She requested cremation and invites you to celebrate her memory in your own ways.
