Dolores Stroik passed away at the age of 77 on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her home in Hatch, New Mexico. She was diagnosed with brain cancer early in September which took her life seven weeks later. Dolores was born in Zion, Illinois on May 21, 1946. She married Paul J. Stroik on July 19, 1958. Dolores Stroik passed away at the age of 77 on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her home in Hatch, New Mexico. She was diagnosed with brain cancer early in September which took her life seven weeks later. Dolores was born in Zion, Illinois on May 21, 1946. She married Paul J. Stroik on July 19, 1958. She worked in Los Alamos, New Mexico as a Catechism director. She worked as a Catechism director in Hatch as well for close to 9 years. For the last 8 years she worked at the Hatch Museum. Dolores is survived by her beloved husband, Paul J. Stroik and her four children, Paul, Mike, Dave and Anne Stroik, her sister Karolyn Danielson, and brothers Lester and Wayne Mapes. She has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her adopted sisters (friends) Sally Padilla and Mary Helen Albidres. The stroik family would like to thank all the people who helped us after Dolores came home from Albuquerque. You help made this process a little bit easier and is greatly appreciated.
