Dolores Lopez Vasquez, 78, a lifelong resident of Las Cruces, passed away, Sunday, August 13, 2017. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, will be greatly missed. She was born to Antonia and Ernesto Lopez on March 31, 1939. Dolores Lopez Vasquez, 78, a lifelong resident of Las Cruces, passed away, Sunday, August 13, 2017. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, will be greatly missed. She was born to Antonia and Ernesto Lopez on March 31, 1939. Dolores worked at Memorial General Hospital for many years, and she retired from the health department of New Mexico. Dolores was happiest spending time with her sons, family, and friends, playing bingo, and of course the casino. She is survived by her sons, Robert and Tommy Vasquez. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Ernest Lopez (Elodia), Martin Lopez (Catalina), Orlando Perez (Joan) and sister, Olivia Molina (Joe). She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts Lorenza Lopez and Lucy Guzman, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her parents, step father, Jose Perez, sister Rebecca Perez, and son Carlos Benavidez. Visitation will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 from 10 am to 11 am at Getz Funeral Home, with burial of cremains to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
