Dolores Vonderharr, (nee Hall) 73, of Las Cruces, N.M passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday January 6, 2007. Dolores, (Dori) was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Her remarkable sense of humor never ceased to amaze not only her family and friends, but also the Drs. and nurses that were responsible for her care. Before health problems consumed her energy, she loved to entertain in her home, prepare meals, dance, and keep up on current events. Dori will be remembered by her children and grandchildren as a gifted storyteller. Her legendary yarns will resonate in the memories of those who will fondly recall her legacy and provide comfort to her survivors. Dolores was born in Billings, Montana where she married the love of her life Robert, in 1953. Together they raised four children, moving to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in 1969 and eventually retiring to Las Cruces in 1984. In her passing she is survived by her devoted husband Robert; her two sisters June Edgmond and Mary Scioscia of Billings, MT, son Stephen Vonderharr, and wife Karen of Burnsville, MN, her three daughters; Becky Hagemann, and husband Tim of Eagan, MN, Diane Dwyer and husband Robert of Kalispell, MT, and Valerie Lembke and husband Michael of Burnsville, MN. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Hobart and May Hall, and sister "Honey" Bromley. A celebration of Dolores' compassionate, faith filled life will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2007 at 10AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Father Raymond J. Flores, presiding. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Getz Funeral Home. Interment of cremains will be at a later date in St. Paul, MN Ft. Snelling Cemetery. The family expresses deep appreciation for the compassionate, supportive care of Drs. William T. Baker M.D., Fernando Lopez M.D., Darvy Fuller M.D., and the staff at Southern New Mexico Cancer Center.
