Donald E. Walker Sr., 95, of Las Cruces died Thursday, March 13, 2013. He was born Nov. 5, 1917 in Moberly, MO. to Isaac and Mattie Shover Walker. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he served our country honorably. Donald was also a retired Yard Master with the Norfolk & Southern Railroad after many years of faithful service. Donald E. Walker Sr., 95, of Las Cruces died Thursday, March 13, 2013. He was born Nov. 5, 1917 in Moberly, MO. to Isaac and Mattie Shover Walker. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he served our country honorably. Donald was also a retired Yard Master with the Norfolk & Southern Railroad after many years of faithful service. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, sports, golf and watching baseball, but his passion was for his family. Mr. Walker will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son Donald Walker Jr. of Branson, MO; daughters June Ciudad and husband Hernan and Pat Nute all of Las Cruces; grandchildren Scott, Todd, Kristina, Hernan Jr., Jean-Paul and Sara; great-grandchildren Noah, Isabelle, Elias, Ian and Gabriel. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Billie Walker; Brother Russell and sisters Marguerite, Mary and Orie.
