Donald Lee Duke, 55 of North Richland Hills, TX died Friday July 20, 2007. He was born Oct. 10, 1951 in El Paso, TX to Oscar and Alice Duke. Donald was an electronics technician, an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, but his passion was for shooting the cowboy way. He was also an avid reader and writer and has had two books published. Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother Merle McDonald Brake of North Richland Hills, TX; son T.C. Duke of Mesa, AZ; daughter Kelly Haught and husband Blue of Queen Creek, AZ; brothers Bobby Duke and wife Judy of Las Cruces and James Duff and wife Beth of Radium Springs, NM; grandchildren Caidgen and Amaris and by nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald was preceded in death by his father Oscar Duke; brother Timothy and his step-father Calvin Brake. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday July 28, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home with Brother Linvell Tisdale of East Mesa Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blue Haught, Doug Hammer, David Skidmore, Jerry Wilmes, Steve Ziehl and Bill McDonald. PDF Printable Version
