Donald Lee Wrinkle, 77 of Las Cruces, NM died December 9, 208 at The Advance Care Hospital of Las Cruces. He was born May 6, 1931 in Clay County, Missouri to John and Marie Wrinkle. Donald had served his country honorably for 30 years in the US Army as a Command Sergeant Major. He served in the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam. Donald Lee Wrinkle, 77 of Las Cruces, NM died December 9, 208 at The Advance Care Hospital of Las Cruces. He was born May 6, 1931 in Clay County, Missouri to John and Marie Wrinkle. Donald had served his country honorably for 30 years in the US Army as a Command Sergeant Major. He served in the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam. During his faithful service he received two Bronze Stars, two Purple Hearts, the Combat Infantry Badge, Combat Service Ribbons and numerous other ribbons and decorations. Retired from the US Army he was a member of the VFW and DAV. Donald had been a resident of Las Cruces for about the last 15 years coming from Albuquerque. He is survived by one son, Robert Lee Wrinkle of Crab Orchard, West Virginia; one daughter, Donna Wrinkle of Woodstock, Georgia; his companion Maxine Jones of Las Cruces; one brother, Kenneth R. Wrinkle of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Johneth A. McGinty of Grand Junction, Colorado; one granddaughter, Stevie Leigh Moore of Woodstock, Georgia; an aunt, Olive Burden of Kamath Falls, Oregon and a cousin, Naomi Leyva of Scottsdale, Arizona. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with burial following with Full Military Honors at 1:30 pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
