Donald Roy Vandiver December 3, 1927 - January 7, 2022 Don was born on December 3, 1927 in Columbus, OH and he passed away on January 7, 2022 in Las Cruces, NM. He is survived by his present wife Verline Pribula-Vandiver, son Bob Vandiver and his wife Mary Jo, daughter Kim Davis, grandsons Sean Davis and Robert Vandiver, II, step-children Sandy Dailey and her husband Randy, Dan Jensen and his wife Maria, Karen Jensen, Dolores Jensen wife of Robert Scott Jensen, and many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Lou Vandiver, parents Roscoe and Matilda Vandiver, sister Jean Bachman, brother Gordon Vandiver, and step-son Robert Scott Jensen. Don was a World War II veteran and proud graduate of The Ohio State University. He was a retired Aeronautical Engineer for Boeing at the Johnson Space Center Propulsion Systems Development Facility in Las Cruces, NM. He was a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes fan and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed playing games especially Bridge, 5 Crowns and Dominoes and was quite the bowler in his day. He loved to travel and meet with his R.O.M.E.O. (Retired Old Men Eating Out) buddies for breakfast. He was a faithful servant of our Lord and a member of Mission Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
