Dorothy (Dottie) Lorraine Comallie departed her loving family on October 26, 2022, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Dorothy was born on July 15, 1938, in Oneida, Wisconsin to Audrey Kloss and Wilmer Lackershire. At a very young age she was adopted by Orrin Brandt and was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by Audrey, and Orrin Brandt. She married Leo B. Comallie on May 13, 1957, via an elopement to Juarez, Mexico. Leo and Dorothy were married and in love for 65 years. Dorothy had two children, Lori Comallie and Christopher Comallie. She was an excellent wife and mother. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and husband. She was the star in their hearts, and she raised them with love and devotion. She was strong, kind, and a woman of character and competence. Her heart was large, and her love extended to her grandson, Matthew Stevens, her adopted grandson and his wife, Zachary, and Courtney Jordan, adopted granddaughter, Suzette Stephens and step-grandchildren Matthew and Christina Caplan. She enjoyed three adopted great grandchildren, Christian, Cora, and Rhys. Dorothy was an amazing artist and loved painting her beloved land of enchantment. She is survived by her husband, Leo Comallie, her children, Chris, Lori and her husband, Marc Caplan; her sisters Mary and her husband, Herb Shultz, and Bette and her husband Ismael AbouLoghd; her brother, Paul and his wife, Cookie Brandt as well as the many grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew her as "Nanny". Dorothy never wanted to be the center of attention, so her services will be private for immediate family members only. Friends wishing to honor Dorothy are invited to donate in her name to their favorite charity.
