Dorothy Fay McIntire was born January 28, 1935 and went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Dorothy is the daughter of long time Las Cruces residents Ernest Raymond and Lena Mae Raymond, and the sister of Ernest Raymond, Jr. "Mutt" and Betty Lou Parrell. Dorothy was preceded in her call home by her parents and her brother, Mutt, sister, Betty and son, Ernest Wade. Dorothy is survived by her husband Henry Clay "Jack" McIntire, sons Dennis, Duane, Terry, sisters Wilma Ruby Harrison, Norma Jean Osborne, nieces, nephews and grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Justin Lee and Natalie Dawn McIntire-King. Dorothy attended Las Cruces High School with the graduating class of 1953. Dorothy has been married to Henry for 57 years, 42 of those years in California. Henry and Dorothy had returned to Las Cruces in 2006. She returned to her beloved mountains, her tree by the river, and the sound of her train. A memorial will be held at the Getz Funeral Home, 1410 East Bowman Avenue, Las Cruces, NM 88001, (575) 526-2419 on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
