Dorothy J. Fielder, 64, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005. She was born Jan. 6, 1941 in El Paso, TX to Joe and Ella Pope. She was a retired Manager with the Round Up Newspaper at New Mexico State University. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. Dorothy J. Fielder, 64, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005. She was born Jan. 6, 1941 in El Paso, TX to Joe and Ella Pope. She was a retired Manager with the Round Up Newspaper at New Mexico State University. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. Her husband of 49 years Harvey Fielder of the family home; sons Don Fielder and wife Liz of Auburn, WA and Michael Fielder of New Port Beach, CA; daughters Sylvia Fielder of Mercer Island, WA and Carolyn Fielder of Las Cruces; brother Arthur Pope and wife Geniva of Menlo Park, CA survives her. She is also survived by a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter Jeanine Fielder, parents and great-aunt Gussy Mae Braddy. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services are at 11:00 AM Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastors Richard Decatur and John McReynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members Dorothy's family and friends. PDF Printable Version
