Dorothy Mae Lang, 60, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, July 12, 2007. She was born Feb. 12, 1947 in Alamogordo, NM to Elmo and Mary Helen Aven. She graduated from Las Cruces High School 1965, and then married Frank Lang on March 18, 1967. Dorothy was employed at El Paso Electric Co. for 20 years. Dorothy Mae Lang, 60, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, July 12, 2007. She was born Feb. 12, 1947 in Alamogordo, NM to Elmo and Mary Helen Aven. She graduated from Las Cruces High School 1965, and then married Frank Lang on March 18, 1967. Dorothy was employed at El Paso Electric Co. for 20 years. She enjoyed life, family, grandchildren, and her dogs. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her and remembered as a wonderful daughter, mother and friend who brought sunshine and smiles to everything she did. Dorothy is survived by her husband Frank Lang; mother Mary Helen Aven; son Robert and his wife Tanya; daughter Sheila Ortega and her husband Jerry; brother Rowdy Aven and his wife Debbie; six grandchildren James, Amberly, Ty, Cameron, Zane and Trey; two great-grandchildren Aaron and Jesse James. Her father Elmo Aven preceded her in death. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 9:00 AM on Monday, July 16, 2007 at East Mesa Baptist Church with Brother Linvell Tisdale officiating. PDF Printable Version
