E. Faye (Duke) Benge's walk on Earth ended on August 2nd, 2018 and began anew amongst angels. In her 84 years of life, she was the stronghold of her family. From a daughter to a great-grandmother, her pride and passion was that of caring and loving for all who crossed her path. Her talents were many and varied from being a musician playing both piano and organ to creating intricate pieces by means of sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, and embroidering. There was not a garden she could not grow, bringing all things of color to life and creating her own paradise. Although she owned many recipes, the secrets to her most coveted and desired dishes were locked away in the magic of her fingertips and will never be duplicated. A mind of a genius, without formal education, she could invent, repair, and improvise anything to fill a need. Her time with family was most enjoyed teaching her talents and challenging them all with intellectual puzzle games. Faye and her twin Edmond were two of eleven children born to Garvey and Nellie Duke. She was wife to Wilbur B. Benge for 51 years and together raised five children. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Those who preceded her in passing include her parents Garvey and Nellie Duke, her husband Wilbur Benge, siblings Alton Duke, Ordrey Hollifield, Oscar Duke, Lotus Pierce, Uvelda Stone, Edmond Duke; children Deborah Benge and Jonathan Benge, granddaughter Deanna Kraft, and great grandchildren Joshua and Adam Coates. Those left to tell her stories are siblings Owen Duke (Wanda), Burton Duke (Lois), Loveta McIntire, and Mary Ann Denton (Dwight); children Dedra Kraft (Steve), Daniel Benge, Roberta Gillette; grandchildren Carrie Coates, Jay Trego (Cindy), Christopher Marquez (Bleecker), Rebecca Chapman, David Marquez (Liz), Sarah Rivera, Carl Benge, Amy Ziehl (Micah), Seth and Justin Gillette; great grandchildren Brenden, Keegen, Jonathon, Orion, Derick, Angelina, Adelyssa, Naivea, Emarah, Malachi, Jaydon, and Nathaniel.
