Edward S. Ryan, 81, died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Arbors of Del Rey. He was born Oct. 8, 1925 in Wichita Falls, TX to Louis B. Ryan and Rene Sherwood. Edward was a veteran of the US Navy where he served his country honorably; he also retired after many years of service as an Engineer with the Tennessee Gas Co. Edward S. Ryan, 81, died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Arbors of Del Rey. He was born Oct. 8, 1925 in Wichita Falls, TX to Louis B. Ryan and Rene Sherwood. Edward was a veteran of the US Navy where he served his country honorably; he also retired after many years of service as an Engineer with the Tennessee Gas Co. After retiring he was the owner of Ryan Investments. Edward had a passion for collecting coins, stamps, Native American Arts and guns. He was a loved and respected man with whom ever he met and came in contact with. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his two daughters Jackie Fletcher-Gass and husband Larry of Durango, Co and Vickie Gant of Las Cruces; grandchildren Vicki and husband Brandon, Dana and husband Mike, Joe, Gary, Douglas and wife Candice, Michelle and husband Bob and Kindel; great-grandchildren Hailey, Kaitlyn, Grant, Spencer, Ashley, Emily, Alyssa, Chase, Kenzie, Dustin, Maddie and Joseph. Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife Sue G. Ryan and his son Jo B. Fletcher. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 also at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Ty Lloyd officiating.
