Elisa "Licha" Gallegos, 80, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend was called to her eternal resting place on July 20, 2018 in her home in Rio Rancho, NM surrounded by her daughter Irene, and grandchildren, Sonia, Nancy and Andy. She entered this world on June 17, 1938 in Chihuahua Mexico, born to Eulalio and Anastacia Carnero. She was an accomplished cook at La Posta de Mesilla, where she worked for over 45 years preparing their famous "rolled" tacos. She will be greatly missed! A visitation will be held on Friday, July 27th from 5-7pm at Getz Funeral Home, in Las Cruces, NM followed by a Rosary. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 9am at Basilica San Albino Catholic Church in Mesilla followed by graveside service at San Albino Cemetery. First Visitation
