Elvira C. Aldaz, 86, lifelong resident of Anthony, NM died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006. She was born Feb. 14, 1920 in Anthony, TX. Elvira had been a member of St, Anthony's Catholic Church and was a wonderful homemaker where she took the most loving care of her family. She will be forever deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. Mrs. Aldaz is survived by her sons Joe Aldaz of Denver, CO. and Rick Aldaz of Anthony, NM; daughter Mary Valenzuela of Anthony, NM; brothers "Fito" Rudy Carbajal, Arturo Carbajal and Raul Carbajal all of Las Cruces; sisters Maggie Madrid of Anthony, NM, Belia Provencio of Chamberino, NM and Elva Sierra of Berino, NM. Her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive her. Elvira was preceded in death by her husband Jesus Aldaz in 1995, her parents and brother Hector. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6 to 7 PM on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass is at 10:00 AM on Monday, Oct. 30, 2006 also at St. Anthony's. The Rite of Committal and burial will be at the Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eddie Valenzuela, Ed Dunbar, Robert Aldaz, Ray Aldaz, Alex Aldaz Jr and Steve Aldaz. PDF Printable Version
