Mrs. Enriqueta "Queta" Chavez, 92, was lead to Heaven by angels on June 4, 2005 at Memorial Medical Hospital. She was born August 4, 1912 in Clifton, AZ to Antonio and Elena Membrila. She married Francisco Chavez who preceded her in death in 1970. Mrs. Enriqueta "Queta" Chavez, 92, was lead to Heaven by angels on June 4, 2005 at Memorial Medical Hospital. She was born August 4, 1912 in Clifton, AZ to Antonio and Elena Membrila. She married Francisco Chavez who preceded her in death in 1970. Queta lived and raised her children in Lordsburg, NM then later move to Las Cruces shortly after the death of her daughter, Lucy Chavez in 1978. She spent the remainder of her life in Las Cruces. Having been blessed with 10 children, 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Queta proceeded the death of her 3 sisters, Marta Gonzales, Helen Espinoza and Carolina Membrila, 1 brother Francisco Membrila, a son Raphael and a grandson Dennis Chavez. She is survived by 3 brothers Emilio, Tony and Raul; 8 children Magdalena Diaz, Consuelo Brickner, Francisco Chavez and wife Wendy, Alicia Lorenson and husband Bill, Arturo Chavez and wife Cornelia, Anna Maese and husband Ray, Luis Chavez and wife Linda and Cristina Chavez; her multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive her. Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and great-great grandmother will be deeply missed. A prayer vigil will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton, AZ where the funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM also on Friday with Fr. Rudy Rosales officiating. Rite of Committal will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery also in Clifton. PDF Printable Version
