Erika Rae Davis, 36, a long-time resident of Las Cruces, passed away on January 30, 2009. Erika was born on January 24, 1973 in Fairfax, Virginia. Erika Rae Davis, 36, a long-time resident of Las Cruces, passed away on January 30, 2009. Erika was born on January 24, 1973 in Fairfax, Virginia. She is survived by her two beautiful children, Austin Foos of Plano, Texas, and Ayden Davis of Las Cruces, her parents Arnold and Cheri McMillan of Las Cruces, her brother Tim Davis and wife Clare of Las Cruces, and another brother, Mark Davis, wife Kiva and son Milo, of Tracy, California. Erika is also survived by her extended family of Randy and Carol McMillan of Las Cruces, Gary and Michelle McMillan of Farmington, NM and Ron and Karen Williams, of Gaston, SC. This large, extended family also included a great number of wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Erika was preceded in death by her father, James H. Davis. Erika has worked over the years as a publications typist at NASA, as well as a legal secretary and bookkeeper, but was most recently a student at New Mexico State University. She was kindhearted, caring, and a compassionate person with a great love for family and friends alike. She adored her children and had a heart of gold for animals. She never met a dog or cat that wouldn't receive an open invitation to live in her home. She will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Boutz, Las Cruces, NM on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10:00 am. A reception at the church will follow the service. Interment will be held in Necedah, Wisconsi...
