Ernest served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force as a (A2C) from 1961-1967. Ernest L. Camunez, 66, of Las Cruces died peacefully at home on Aug. 11, 2005. He was born June 21, 1939 in Las Cruces to Ernest and Katherine Griggs Camunez. Ernest served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force as a (A2C) from 1961-1967. He was a graduate from South Pasadena High School in South Pasadena, CA in 1958, a graduate from Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ in 1982 with HVAC License, a graduate from the University of New York in 1994 with a Bachelor in Science. Ernest retired as manager and part owner of La Posta de Mesilla in 1993. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Maureen Camunez of the family home; daughters Lisa Chavez and husband Johnny from Belgium, Lori Alba and husband Chris from Albuquerque and Tawni Swanson and husband Lee from Las Cruces; son Christopher Camunez and fianc
