Esperanza Terrazas passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 89 on October 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Esperanza was born and raised in Picacho Village. She was born June 13, 1932 to Ventura and Teresita Alire. Esperanza Terrazas passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 89 on October 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Esperanza was born and raised in Picacho Village. She was born June 13, 1932 to Ventura and Teresita Alire. To many friends she was known as "La Shorty" but to her family and especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren she was "Little Grandma". She was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing and writing music and poems. She always had jokes to tell and was full of stories to share. She might have been tiny in size but her personality could definitely light up a room. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with friends and especially her road trips with friends to the casino. Those left to mourn her include her eldest Daughter Genevieve Meraz and husband Antonio Meraz, her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great - grandchildren that adored and loved her deeply. Esperanza is preceded in death by her daughters' Bertha Terrazas and Rosemary Perez. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons Antonio Meraz Jr., Antonio Meraz III, Jesus Meraz, Jesus Meraz Jr., Craig Stavenhagen, Jesse Frausto Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at St Genevieve's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 2pm and a mass will begin at 2:30pm followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery. First Visitation
