Esperanza T. "Hope" Carrillo, 74, lifelong resident of Las Cruces died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007. She was born Feb. 8, 1933 in Las Cruces to Santiago and Clara Trejo Maldonado. Esperanza T. "Hope" Carrillo, 74, lifelong resident of Las Cruces died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007. She was born Feb. 8, 1933 in Las Cruces to Santiago and Clara Trejo Maldonado. Hope had a passion for her grandchildren, but had a never-ending love for God. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. "She is doing what she lived for she is in Heaven. Hope is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Willie Carrillo of the family home; sons Lee Carrillo and wife Coreen, and Willie Carrillo all of Albuquerque, NM, and Dan Carrillo and Becky Rodriguez of Las Cruces; daughters Sylvia Sauceda and husband Louis, Judy Lenz and husband Jim and Alma Cortez and husband David all of Las Cruces; brother Gilbert Maldonado and wife Susie of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Gloria Maldonado of Reno, NV, and Consuelo Salinas of La Mesa, NM; grandchildren Chris, Jason, Kristen, Aaron, Charlie, Jeff, Matthew, Jordan, Anthony, Joseph and Annelies. Also surviving her are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Hope was preceded in death by her granddaughter Danielle Carrillo, brothers David and Raul Maldonado and by a sister Sophie Dominguez. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Felix Gonzales of Living Waters Assembly of God officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be all of Hope's grandchildren. PDF Printable Version
