Estela Garcia Sanchez, 57, of Dona Ana, NM died Friday, March 2, 2007. She was born Sept. 13, 1949 in Dona Ana, NM to Ray and Belen Garcia Aguirre. Estela loved singing, dancing, classic movies, golden oldies but her passion was for cooking for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Estela Garcia Sanchez, 57, of Dona Ana, NM died Friday, March 2, 2007. She was born Sept. 13, 1949 in Dona Ana, NM to Ray and Belen Garcia Aguirre. Estela loved singing, dancing, classic movies, golden oldies but her passion was for cooking for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Gilbert (Beto) Sanchez of the family home; son Michael Sanchez and wife Yolanda of Las Cruces; daughters Denise Sanchez of Dona Ana, Regina Sanchez and Jenny Reyes and husband Roy all of Las Cruces; sisters Frances Gonzalez and husband Antonio of TN., Thelma Aguirre, Irene Gonzales and husband Harvey, Molly Gomez. Elizabeth Cardenas and husband Raul and Elva Aguirre all of California; brothers Robert Garcia, Benji Aguirre and Richard Aguirre and wife Ruby all of California; grandchildren Gilbert, Isaac, Veronica, Angel and Stephanie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Estela was preceded in death by her parents, brother Arturo Garcia and brother-in-law Mundo Sanchez. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. Estela's funeral mass is at 10 AM on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with Fr. Sean Garrity officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at the Dona Ana Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gilbert and Isaac Sanchez, Raul Cardenas, Roy Reyes, Richard Aguirre, Alfonso Bustamante and Ronnie Garcia. PDF Printable Version
