Esther C. Miller, 58, of Fort Worth, TX. died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1953 in Truchas, NM to Ely and Ernestina Lopez. Esther enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, cooking and crocheting, was an avid sports fan with the Chicago Cubs being her favorite team but her passion was for her family. Esther C. Miller, 58, of Fort Worth, TX. died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1953 in Truchas, NM to Ely and Ernestina Lopez. Esther enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, cooking and crocheting, was an avid sports fan with the Chicago Cubs being her favorite team but her passion was for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Kenn Miller of the family home; daughters Jelene Miller and Marlena Wood and husband Jason all of Las Cruces, Kristina Swift and husband Jayson of Fort Worth, TX and Tomara Elsbury and husband Chance of Lake Pointe, Utah; brothers Michael Lopez and wife Lillian of La Mesilla, NM, Eli Lopez and wife Carol and Valerio Lopez and wife Roxanne all of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Nellie Sanchez and husband Arsenia of Albuquerque, NM and Louise Martinez and husband Wilfred of Chimayo, NM. Also surviving her are her 9 grandchildren Kristopher, Nicolas, Emelee, Preston, Tobias, Adele, Matilda, Travis and Curtis and by her great-granddaughter Ariana. Esther was preceded in death by her father Ely. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at First Baptist Church where funeral services to celebrate her life will follow at 10 am with Dr. Maurice Hollingsworth officiating. A second funeral service will be at 10 am on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church in Truchas, NM with Pastor Margaret Franke officiating.
