Eulalia Perez, 90 of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday October 6, 2009. She was born on October 29, 1918 in La Union, New Mexico to Benito and Amada Gardea. She enjoyed working in her garden, growing many different beautiful flowers. When she wasn't taking care of her twelve children she would sit down and relax listening to her favorite music. Eulalia Perez, 90 of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday October 6, 2009. She was born on October 29, 1918 in La Union, New Mexico to Benito and Amada Gardea. She enjoyed working in her garden, growing many different beautiful flowers. When she wasn't taking care of her twelve children she would sit down and relax listening to her favorite music. Mrs. Perez will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her four sons Basilo Perez and wife Cecilia of Chocteau, MT, Joe Perez and wife Stephanie of Ruidoso, NM, Raymond Perez of Las Cruces and Jesse Perez and wife Gloria of Colorado Springs, CO; seven daughters Lydia Marie and husband George of Miralonea, CA, Alicia Holguin and husband Joe of Amarillo, TX, Josie Davis, Rosalie Perez, Lucy Fielder and Otilia Perez all of Las Cruces and Catalina Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; sister Ofelia Castillo of Eloy, AZ. Also surviving her are her 58 grandchildren, 129 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jose Perez, her parents, daughter Angela Green and grandson Larry Smith. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday October 9, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday October 10, 2009 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Ricardo Bauza officiating. Rite of Committal will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
