Francis (F. A.) West died Monday, January 2, 2006. He was born in Portland, Oregon in 1922 to Arlie and Josephine West and raised in Oklahoma. He served in the Army Air Corp as a Gunnery Instructor and was stationed at Biggs Army Airfield in El Paso, Texas. After leaving the service he worked for El Paso National Bank. He left the bank to work for Luby's Cafeteria and retired after 30 years of restaurant management. Francis was an active member of the New Mexico Restaurant Association, Eastern Star Chapter #20, Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple and Aztec Masonic Lodge. As an avid golfer he played at Picacho Hills and with the ''Nooners'' at the Las Cruces Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Molindia Three sons; Frank Jr. of Dallas, TX Lonnie and wife Elisa of Las Cruces, NM Robert Bolton and wife Helen of Muscatine, IA, six daughters; Fritzie Glanville and husband Bob of Horseshoe Bay, TX Judy Montoya of Houston, TX Patty Wylie and husband Goerge of Colleyville, TX Peggy Chaapel and husband Scott, Sally Kading and husband Bruce, and Betty Robertson all of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by one sister Lotus (Loren) Coulter of Garden City, KS, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ruth Gibbs West, Sons-in-law, Tony Montoya and Ken Robertson and one grandson, Kenneth Lee Robertson. A memorial service will take place at 11 AM Friday January 6, 2006 at the St. Paul's Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Gorton Smith. A private family burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in El Paso, TX. Mr. West donated to many charitable organizations. In lieu of flowers, any of his ftiends can donate to the Children's Fund @ Ballut Abyad Shrine Center (P.O. Box 8410 Albuquerque, NM 87198) or S1. Paul's United Methodist Church.
