Felton C. Springer, a Las Cruces resident for 67 years and a member of First Baptist Church, Las Cruces passed away at The Good Samaritan Village of Las Cruces on February 2, 2012. He was born in Campbell, Texas to Arthur J. and Leona Springer March 9, 1919. He served four years in The U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Part of that time he was stationed at Condron Air Field which was located on the east side of The Organ Mountains. His group was experimenting with radio-controlled airplanes and greatly reducing the rattlesnake population. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia, 2 daughters- Alma (Earl) Shumaker and Jane (Bruce) Morrison and 2 sons- Bill (Diana) of Las Vegas, NM and Allan (Karen) of Blaine, Tennessee, nine grandchildren
