Flora S. Baca, 89, of Las Cruces died at her home surrounded by her family Monday March 27, 2006. She was born March 12, 1917 to Carlos and Petra Saiz in Las Cruces, NM. Flora attended St. Genevieve's Catholic Church since she was a little girl. Flora S. Baca, 89, of Las Cruces died at her home surrounded by her family Monday March 27, 2006. She was born March 12, 1917 to Carlos and Petra Saiz in Las Cruces, NM. Flora attended St. Genevieve's Catholic Church since she was a little girl. She put her family ahead of anything else, and raised not only her children but also many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family and will always be remembered for her caring nature and open door. She is survived by her son; Bobby Baca of Ruidoso, NM and daughter; Carmen Zamorano of Tortugas, NM. She is also survived by one sister; Victorina Garcia of Las Cruces, NM fifteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. Flora was preceded in death by her husband Higinio Baca, son; Henry Baca and daughter; Corina Lindbeck. A visitation will be held Thursday March 30, 2006 from 5-7 PM at Getz Funeral Home with a prayer vigil to follow also at Getz. The funeral mass will be held Friday March 31, 2006 at 10 AM at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Officiating will be Fr. Juan Moreno. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
