Francis G. Upshaw

Francis Gregory (Greg) Upshaw, 42, passed away on March 27, 2013 at Mountain View Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico surrounded by loving family and friends. Greg is survived by a daughter Avery, a son Carter and their mother Jacqueline Upshaw of Indianapolis, IN; his father Frederick Upshaw SR and step-mother Alice of Orlando, FL; a brother Frederick Upshaw JR and his wife Jodi of Las Cruces, NM; a sister Renee Upshaw and partner Cathey Allen of St. Louis, MO and several aunts, uncles and cousins of Indiana. He is predeceased by his mother Laura Williams Upshaw and a sister Debbie Upshaw. A talented high school athlete, Greg enjoyed all sports and coaching youth athletic programs. A loyal and caring individual, he was a true and loving friend to all that knew him and stood up for those who could not for themselves. Greg always had a smile on his face and a laugh in his heart. He loved his children, family and friends and will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him. True to his character, Greg will live on helping others due to the efforts of New Mexico Donor Services. Cremation will take place and arrangements are with Getz Funeral Home and Getz Family Crematory corner of Solano and Bowman Ave., Las Cruces, NM 526-2419.
