Francisco F. "Mascoti" Vielma, 91, of Tortugas, NM died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007. He was born Dec. 3, 1915 in Fierro, NM to Jesus and Manuela Vielma. He was retired from WSMR as a water technician after many years of faithful service. Francisco F. "Mascoti" Vielma, 91, of Tortugas, NM died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007. He was born Dec. 3, 1915 in Fierro, NM to Jesus and Manuela Vielma. He was retired from WSMR as a water technician after many years of faithful service. Frank as he was fondly known had a love for woodworking, playing his harmonicas, sports, but his passion was watching his family play ball. He will be deeply missed by all the family and many friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sons Robert "Bobby" Vielma and wife Tillie and David "Sito" Vielma and wife Sylvia; daughter Corine Nevarez and husband Don; grandchildren Frankie, Terry, Patricia, Anthony, Patrick, Mickey and Robert. 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife Adela Vielma; daughter Teresa Toby; granddaughter Maria Nevarez and grandson Christopher Vielma. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. Mr. Vielma's funeral mass is at 9:00 AM on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007 also at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Fr. Philip Key officiating. Rite of Committal will be at the Tortugas Cemetery. Pallbearer will be Frankie V. Nevarez, Robert "Bobby" Jr., Terry and Patrick Vielma, Paul Jr. and Patricia "Patsy" Mirabal. Honorary Pallbearers are the great-grandchildren. PDF Printable Version
