Frank Tony Milavec, 85, passed away on Monday March 26th at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM following complications from renal failure and pneumonia. Frank was born to Anton and Mary Milavec in Dawson, NM on November 8, 1926. He served in the US Army and was a journeyman machinist at Phelps Dodge copper mine in Tyrone, NM during the 1970's and 80's. In retirement, he moved to his childhood family ranch in Maxwell, NM to enjoy farming, ranching, and outdoor life. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman, but his true passion was being a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Regina. He is survived by his two sons Anton (Jayne) of Las Cruces, NM, and Robin (Cynthia), of Saginaw, MI, and 6 grandchildren. (Miquelle, Ellissa, Meagan, Bianca, Justin and Micaela). A viewing will be held Saturday March 31, 2012 at 8:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. The viewing and service will be held at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Maxwell, NM.
