Frederick (Fred) E. Ogg, 81, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2013 at Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his family. Fred was born on March 21, 1932 in Reno, Nevada to Earl and Mildred Ogg. Frederick (Fred) E. Ogg, 81, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2013 at Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his family. Fred was born on March 21, 1932 in Reno, Nevada to Earl and Mildred Ogg. He was the oldest of three sons. He married Nettie L Laird on December 10, 1956. Fred was employed at White Sands Missile Range for over 30 years. Upon retirement he began crafting wooden toys and would sell them at the Farmer's and Craft Market. He was also employed by the Las Cruces Police Department as a school crossing guard. Fred's hobbies included hunting, fishing, reading, working on his computer, Nascar racing especial number 24, and of course telling jokes. Fred is survived by his daughters Evelyn Morris and her husband Danny, Cyndi Fierro and her husband Joe, four grand children, Danielle Jenkins and her husband Michael, Jason Morris and his wife Kari, Nicole Flores and her husband Curtis, Chad Morris and his wife Robin; ten grandchildren, Austin and Madison Jenkins, Alicia, Brenden and Bryce Morris, Nicholas and Bryanna Flores, Kaityln, Logan and Riley Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife Nettie L. Ogg on February 12, 2013. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will follow at a later date. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the wonderful staff of Ambercare Home Health and to the staff at Mesilla Valley Hospice, especially the special nurses he had to help his start his next journey.
