Our beloved Marine Sgt. Genaro S. Bueno ("Jerry") entered eternal life on December 21, 2020. Genaro was born Sept. 13th, 1928 in Silver City, NM. Jerry enrolled in the Marines as soon as he was of age and retired with honors including a Silver Metal. Jerry was also known as ‘The Chef' and learned his culinary skills at a young age, he enjoyed telling stories of his childhood of working in a warm bakery during the cold winters. We miss him dearly and enjoyed his endless stories of the wars he survived. Jerry was a loving man who helped anyone he encountered. He is survived by his wife Martha P. Bueno, daughter Mary Jean Bueno, grandsons Jonathan Bueno, Mark Bueno, granddaughters Lisa Marie Montoya, Alvina Bueno and his sisters Ofelia Polanco and Coey Carrillo. He was preceded in death by his son Mike Bueno, his brothers and his parents Severa S. Bueno and Isais A. Bueno. Funeral services will be held on Friday Jan. 29, at St. Genevieve's Parish with a rosary at 1:30 pm, Mass at 2:00 pm followed by Interment at Masonic Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
