Geraldine P. Lujan, 91 of Mesilla, NM died Saturday June 11, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1913 in Presidio, TX to William and Costancia Palmer. She was a member of the Catholic Church and was a Catholic Daughter. Geraldine was a very active leader in Girl Scouts, Brownies and the local PTA. She also helped her late husband Raul Lujan run and operate the Valley Hardware on Avenida de Mesilla. Family survivors include her children, Carol Quintana and husband Leroy of Las Cruces, Rocky Lujan and wife Clara of Mesilla, Marti Torres and husband Eddie, Margaret Chavez and husband Alex all of Las Cruces; sister, Josephine Yurcic of Gallup, NM; 9 grandchildren, Ronnie and Coni Quintana, Barbara Narvaez, Jimmy Lujan, Sylvia Keuster, Amy Porter, Eddie Torres, Jerri Kautzmann, David Chavez; 14 great grandchildren, Shawna and Mandy Quintana, Robert, Tony and Michael Lujan, Ray and Phillip Narvaez, Jaime and Deanne Lujan, Chris and Mychal Torres, Jaimie, Samantha and Dylan Kautzmann; 3 great-great grandchildren, Jade and Angel Narvaez and Asia Chavez. She was preceded in death by brothers; William, Lawrence, Charles, and Richard Palmer, sisters; Frances Brandon, and Constance Chavez, stepsisters; Isabel Pena, and Ana Scarbrough. A prayer vigil will be held at 6 PM Thursday June 16, 2005 at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial mass will be held at 10 AM Friday June 17, 2005 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, after which her cremains will be placed in the columbarium at Holy Cross. Officiating will be Fr.
