Geraldine V. Yocum, 80, of Mount Union, and Deming, N.M., died at 10:38 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. She is survived by: a daughter and son-in-law, Kimbra and Don Cundiff of Las Cruces, N.M.; a granddaughter, Jeanie Lopez and her husband, Jerry; great-grandsons, Richard and Robert of Las Cruces, N.M.; a granddaughter, Gretchyn Germroth and her husband, Jeff; great-granddaughters Audrey and Courtney, of Broadway, VA; a grandson, Glen Roberts Jr. of Colorado; a great-grandson, Joshua Korn Of Florida; a sister, Madeline Marks and her husband, Gordon, of McVeytown; a sister, Mrs. Lenora Adams of Mattawana; a brother, Leonard Bingaman Jr. and his wife, Janet of Lewistown, RD; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Also surviving is: Richard Pyles of Mount Union, her loving companion for the last two years. Geraldine was born in Oliver Township and raised in McVeytown, moving to Miami, Fla., in the late 1940s with her late husband, Fredric Yocum, formerly of Lewistown. Their two daughters, Karen and Kimbra, were raised in Hialeah, Fla. Geraldine worked for 30 years at a bank in Miami, Fla., while her husband ran his own printing business. After retirement they split their time between Deming, N.M., and Hialeah, Fla. They sold their Florida home in 1993, and then resided full-time in Deming, N.M. After losing her husband in 2001, she remained in Deming until 2003. She was then reacquainted with Richard Pyles and returned to Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 55 years, Fredric Yocum; her daughter, Karen Riley and Karen's daughter Audrey of Virginia; grandson David Cundiff of Arizona; her parents, Leonard and' Myrtle. Bingaman, and her sister, Delores Adams, all of McVeytown. Geraldine loved to travel and was fortunate to travel many of our United States and also Canada, with her husband. She was also blessed to have the love of two wonderful men. She will be missed by many. Funeral services for Geraldine were held Friday, May 13, 2005 in McVeytown. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Whitmere officiating. PDF Printable Version
