Gino Hinojos Jr., 57, passed away on November 17, 2014, surrounded by his devoted family. He was born in Rincon, NM, on May 24, 1957 to Hijinio and Maria Louisa Hinojos. He is survived by his parents' and three daughters, Mandi Hinojos and Rey Mora of Albuquerque, Tara and Rey Munoz and Jami and Mario Benavente, both of Las Cruces; his six grandchildren, Mikala (Kala) and Antonio (Tonio) Gonzalez, Alexis (Lexi) and Aaron (Butter) Munoz, Aven and Jordan (Cornelio) Benavente; his siblings, The Ronnie's, The Louie's, The Danny's and The Vicky's; numerous nieces, nephews, Godchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his only son, Aaron Mikal Hinojos, and his niece and nephew, Adrian and Adriana Bouvet. Gino was an amazing father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be remembered by his infectious smile, trademark whistle, generous heart, incredible work ethic and his willingness to always put others before himself. Although he will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his son, Aaron Mikal. A visitation will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at Our Lady of All Nations Catholic Church in Rincon, NM with the Holy Rosary to follow at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of All Nations Catholic Church with graveside services to follow at the Rincon Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers are: Ronnie Hinojos, Louie Hinojos, represented by Fernie Reyes, Danny Hinojos, Ricky Bouvet, Ronnie (Coach) Hinojos, and Tonio Gonzalez. Honorary pall bearers: Stephen Lopez, Mario Benavente, Rey Munoz, Rey Mora, Dennis Torres, Eddie Vallejos, Kit Carson, Jerry Wayne Mitchell, Don Yarbrough, Frank Hinojos, Richard Bustillos, Nacho Gonzalez, George Lunsford, Chuck Watkins, and Kirk Seale. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Aaron Mikal Hinojos Golf Tournament account held at Bank of the West, which helps fund the annual scholarships. ‘'If you do not believe in Heroes, then you never met our dad.
