Gladys I. Hollis, 88, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, May 16, 2013. She was born Oct. 11, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio to Roy and Grace Heffner DeVore. Gladys was a member of St. Albert the Great Newman Center, she enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, crocheting, music, dancing and had been a member of the Lions Club. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Don Hollis and wife Patrice of Mesquite, TX; daughter Donna Sue Hollis of Las Cruces; grandchildren Shileen, Michael and Rebecca; great-grandchildren Jordan and Hanna and by her nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband A.J. Hollis and by her sister Patricia Naumann. A memorial mass to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Holy Cross Retreat Center, 600 Holy Cross Road in Mesilla Park with Fr. Tom Smith and Fr. Ray Flores officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Holy Cross Retreat Center Chapel Fund or St. Albert the Great Building Fund. PDF Printable Version
