Gloria B Tarin

August 27, 1929 — March 5, 2013

Maria Gloria B. Tarin, 83, of Hatch, N. M., peacefully passed away on March 5, 2013. She was born on August 27, 1929 in Rodey, N.M. to Concepcion (CM) and Magdelena Bustamante. She was devoted and loved her family very much. Everyone enjoyed her conversation, hospitality, and good food. As the heart of the family, everyone always gathered in her home for holidays, Sundays, and all the other days and occasions that took place. Gloria found great joy in cooking for her family and friends. No one could ever go to her house without a good meal, a sweet snack, or a cup of coffee. Her home was the place to be. In addition to her cooking, Gloria was a seamstress for many, many years. She made all the clothes for her daughter, Linda, and for her eldest granddaughter, Melanie. She enjoyed making blankets, personalized photo albums, napkin holders, tissue box holders, and other home interiors for her family and friends. Gloria was devoted to her Lord and always read her bible. She often gave loving and wise advice from the scriptures that spoke of the moment. Forever caring for the safety and well-being of others, she always sent her family and loved ones with a special blessing before they went on their way. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Venancio, Bonifacio and Frankie Bustamante; sister Evangelina Bustamante; a grandson Matthew James Tarin; and nephews Ricky Carrasco and Leroy Marquez.
