For those willing to sit and give him a moment of their time, they would be in for a beautiful journey and lesson in life. He was always eager to share his motto in life. " It's never too late to change". Always acknowledging he was not a perfect man, he was always willing to share his life changing encounter with God and quickly learned that " Through Christ anything is possible" . They say that the eyes are a window to the soul. For those blessed with the opportunity to look into them, you were instantly mesmerized. It's as if he could see right through you. When he wasn't out treasure hunting, he also loved cooking outdoors and spending time with his family. The work ethic he had was second to none. Whether it was laying cement or building a storage, he worked with integrity and took pride in everything he did. Amazingly, he lived up to this standard until his final days here on earth at 85 years old. He was always up for a game of horseshoes or huachas. He would always let you take your turn and then say, "That was good, but not good enough", with his witty smile and squinty eyes. He leaves behind numerous ribbons, metals & trophies including several gold medals from the Sr. Olympics in St. Louis Missouri just to name a few. All which he took great pride in. It should be noted, that his most precious prize in life, was his loving wife Juanita, who we all know was anxiously waiting for him in heaven.
