Guillermo M. Montoya, 87 of Tortugas, NM died Monday January 4, 2009 in Ridley Park, PA. Willie as he was fondly known was born to Concepcion and Felicita Montoya on Dec. 4, 1922 in Tortugas, NM. Guillermo M. Montoya, 87 of Tortugas, NM died Monday January 4, 2009 in Ridley Park, PA. Willie as he was fondly known was born to Concepcion and Felicita Montoya on Dec. 4, 1922 in Tortugas, NM. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served his country honorably during WW II. Willie worked for 12 years at WSMR as a warehouseman and was also a Librarian with NMSU. He was a past member of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Tortugas and most recently with Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Morton, PA. He enjoyed bingo at the Tortugas Hall, baseball, playing his guitar and singing. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Concha Montoya of the family home; sons William "Chris" Montoya and wife Louise of Morton, PA, Richard and Freddy Benjiman Montoya both of Hobbs, NM; two sisters Catarina Beltran and Callie Velarde; grandchildren Stephanie Valadez and husband Tony, Bernadette Manzanarez and husband Steve, Chris, Dominique, Krystal and BJ Montoya. Also surviving Willie are his 11 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 pm. Willie's funeral mass to celebrate his life will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine and Parish with Fr. Don Adamski officiating.
