Gustavo "Gus" R. Lerma, 45, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005. He was born Feb. 9, 1960 in Corcoran, CA. to Santiago and Manuela Robles Lerma. Gustavo "Gus" R. Lerma, 45, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005. He was born Feb. 9, 1960 in Corcoran, CA. to Santiago and Manuela Robles Lerma. Gus had been with the U.S. Postal Service working as a mail carrier for the last 6 years. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. Gus is survived by his loving wife Letty Lerma; two children, Iziah Lerma and Claudia Lerma all of the family home; parents Santiago and Abigail Lerma; brothers Santiago Lerma Jr. and wife Lupita of Mesquite, NM, Martin Lerma and wife Virginia of La Mesa, NM, and Socorro Lerma of Mesquite, NM; sisters Dora Lerma and companion Rudy Burciaga, Anita Bazan and husband John and Connie Gonzalez and husband David all of Mesquite, NM; father and mother-in-law Nacho and Vickie Hernandez of Berino, NM; grandmother-in-law Pola Morales of Berino, NM; brother-in-law Willie Hernandez and wife Pearl of Berino, NM; aunt Luisa Aragon Zapata; nieces and nephews Juliana and Fernie Hernandez, Ricky Jordan and Anabel Hernandez, Stephanie and David Michael Gonzalez, Jaime and Steven Bazan, Amanda, Crystal and Bridget Lerma, Irene, Alex and Elizabeth Lerma. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles and cousins. Gus was preceded in death by his mother Manuela Robles. A visitation will be from 5 to 6 PM Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home.
