Harlan Long, 90, of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday, December 15th, 2013. Harlan was born April 23, 1923 in Hosta Butte, NM to Grace Long Paige and Harlan Paige. He was member of US Navy where he served his country honorably in WWII as a code talker. Harlan retired from the US Navy and received recognition for his code talking. He was a member of the Navajo Nation and attended Las Cruces First Assembly of God and was a chrome plater. Harlan is survived by his grandchildren; Joshua Thomas, Anita Thomas and Tobias Martinez, and one great grandchild; Aidan Thomas. Other relatives including; Jolene Svoboda, Perren Jameson, Petrice Jameson, Bryana Johnson, Ashley Garcia, Trey Jameson, Royden Jameson, Jodi Jameson, and Raven Claw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Grace Long Paige, Wife, Otoya E. Long, daughter Sharon Ann Martinez, brother Austin Paige, Sisters Ann H. Begay and Frances Johnson. A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 23, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home from 8:30
