Hearsey R. Wright

Hearsey R. Wright, 94, of Hayward, CA and formerly of Las Cruces, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012. She was born Nov. 30, 1917 in Oklahoma to Claude and Eliza Caldwell Roberts. She had been a faithful member of Bethel Second Baptist Church for over 70 years, but her passion was for her entire family. Hearsey will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her step-daughter Ruby Riles and husband Jeff of Amarillo, TX; brothers J.T., Thedore, Alvia Anderson all of Oklahoma and Ray Arvin of Missouri; sisters Birdie Lee Stevenson and Tillie Mae Scott both of Oklahoma. Also surviving is a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Hearsey was preceded in death by her loving husband Lester Wright, daughters Alice Marie Wright and Betty Salter and by her grandson Calvin Salter. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at Bethel Second Baptist Church where funeral services to celebrate her life will follow at 11 am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer will be members of Hearsey's family and friends. PDF Printable Version
