Helen L. McAllister, 73, of Las Cruces passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center in Phoenix. AZ. She was born Nov. 2, 1933 in John Day, Oregon to Garland and Leona Weissenfluh. Helen's favorite pastime was spoiling her 3 grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her....
Helen L. McAllister, 73, of Las Cruces passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center in Phoenix. AZ. She was born Nov. 2, 1933 in John Day, Oregon to Garland and Leona Weissenfluh. Helen's favorite pastime was spoiling her 3 grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 49 years James McAllister of the family home; daughter Tracie Valenzuela and husband Rudy of Las Cruces; son Timothy McAllister and wife Mary of Las Cruces; grandsons Steven Estrada, Joseph and Joshua McAllister; great-granddaughter Nicole Estrada; brother Eston Weissenfluh and wife Shirley of Bend, OR and Harvey Weissenfluh and wife Diane of Praino City, OR and by many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death her father Garland Weissenfluh; her mother Leona Sweek and step-father Arch Sweek; brother William Weissenfluh and her son James Garland McAllister. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, Aug. 12, 2007 also at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Smith officiating. PDF Printable Version
