It is with great sadness the family of Henry D. Trujillo "Hammer", 66, announces his passing on February 10, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Henry was born in Las Cruces, NM on July 15, 1951 to Mariano and Genevieve Trujillo. He was the youngest of seven siblings. Henry served his country by enlisting into the United States Army. After serving in the Army, he attended El Camino Junior College in California and worked for Big 3 Industries. He then returned to New Mexico and began his career at White Sands Missile Range in 1983, working in several capacities. He retired as a Physical Science Technician in the Radiation Protection Office in November 2017. He was a hard worker and took great pride in his job. He also made a great family of friends at work. Henry was generous, outgoing, fun loving, a practical joker, and was the life of the party. He was a member of the Tuesday Night Progressive Men's bowling league and La Familia Bowling Club. He enjoyed playing poker, going to casinos, and spending time with family and friends. He made it a point to be part of his nieces' and nephews' lives, who adored him. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to sporting events, and enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Washington Redskins. Henry is survived by his loving wife Bea Trujillo, son Eric and daughter-in-law Alysia Trujillo, son Lawrence Lucero and companion Marcella Madrid, his grandchildren, Lauryn & Taytum Trujillo, Josh, Mercedes, Andres, Avianna Lucero, Alexander Madrid, great grandsons Ethaniel Lucero and Romeo Madrid, his four-legged friends, Rascal , Lady, and Gauge. He is also survived by brother Lee Trujillo (Rosella), sister Olga Newman, brother-in-law Leo Hernandez, sister-in-law Irene Wright, brother-in-law Gene Gutierrez, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives in California, his best friend "PIC" Kathy Garcia, "Little Brother" Johnny Garcia, close friend Juana Dominguez, and many friends too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Merlinda Hernandez, brothers Charlie and Johnny Trujillo, brother Fred Madrid, brother-in-law Bill Newman, and mother-in-law Mary Magallanes. Services will be held on Friday, February 16th at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina, Las Cruces, NM viewing from 9:00-10:00 AM immediately followed by funeral mass. First Visitation
