Herbert "IOWA" R. Worrick, 66, of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday, July 20, 2008. He was born Jan. 19, 1942 in Clarion, Iowa to Bernard and Gertrude Worrick. Iowa was a Ret. Herbert "IOWA" R. Worrick, 66, of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday, July 20, 2008. He was born Jan. 19, 1942 in Clarion, Iowa to Bernard and Gertrude Worrick. Iowa was a Ret. Master Sergeant from the US Army where served honorably for more than 27 years in the Air Defense Artillery Brigade. He has also attended the University of Texas at El Paso. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, bowling, singing and dancing. Mr. Worrick will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving companion Janet of the family home; sons Bernard Worrick and companion Tammy McCarl of Jacksonville, FL and Kevin Worrick and wife Kerry of Piney Point, Maryland; daughter Chandra Andreu of Jacksonville, FL; sisters Connie Claude and husband Rodney of DeWitt, Iowa, Louise and family all of Oklahoma and Joan Hadaway and husband Richard of Stanhope, Iowa. His four grandchildren Juliana and Monique of Jacksonville, FL, and Wesley and Taylor of Maryland and by several nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Susan Worrick of DeWitt, Iowa survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Worrick, sister Pearl and by brother-in-law David. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home. Graveside Services to celebrate his life will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors. PDF Printable Version
