Herminia G. (Minnie) Fierro, 65, of Las Cruces, died Monday June 19, 2006. She was born March 10, 1941 in Las Cruces to Guadalupe Gamboa Garcia. Minnie was united in marriage to Paul Fierro in 1957. Herminia G. (Minnie) Fierro, 65, of Las Cruces, died Monday June 19, 2006. She was born March 10, 1941 in Las Cruces to Guadalupe Gamboa Garcia. Minnie was united in marriage to Paul Fierro in 1957. She had been a faithful parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral. Minnie had a passion for casinos and will be dearly missed by all her casino companions; Mary Helen and Jimmy Gonzalez, Genevieve (Beba) and Daniel, Terry and Henry Alvarez, Josephine and Poncho Mendoza and Martha Trujillo. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten for her many good deeds and kindness shown to all. Mrs. Fierro is survived by her daughter Debbie Piceno and husband (Juan) Ignacio; her son Paul and her two grandchildren Jaime and Diana; brother Robert Garcia and wife (Willie) Guillermina of Phoenix, AZ. In addition to her husband Paul and her mother Guadalupe, she was preceded in death by her sister Bertha G. Lease and a beloved nephew lil Bobby Joe. A prayer Vigil will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral where the funeral mass will follow. Rite of Committal will be in the Immaculate Heart Columbarium.
